Mareva DESBOIS has been a practising lawyer since January 2011. She graduated from Law School with both a Master’s Degree in English and American business Law and a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law and New Technologies.
With a British family background and several long-term stays both in the United Kingdom and in the United States, Mareva DESBOIS is perfectly bilingual in English and in French and frequently works with British and American clients.
As a lawyer she started practising at French Law firm ATM Avocats, where she developed expertise in the field of New Technologies, namely in the area of computer-system contracts and “internet law”.
She then worked as an associate at COUSIN & Associés Law firm, which is specialized in Intellectual Property law. Within the course of this experience, Mareva DESBOIS worked on various cases involving all aspects of IP litigation, namely copyright infringement, trademark infringement as well as patent and plant variety rights infringement. She also worked frequently on cases involving protection of employees’ works and inventions.
Mareva DESBOIS has also worked as an associate at AMADIO PARLEANI GAZAGNES Law firm where she developed expertise in different areas of business law, namely company law, product liability and commercial law.
She started her own firm in 2014 dedicating her activity to IP/IT matters and working with companies that focus on innovation (such as digital services companies, digital communication agencies, software publishing companies), as well as performing arts companies and television production companies.
She is a member of the “AFDIT” (IT Law French Association), as well as a member of the Franco-British Lawyers Society (FBLS).
The firm has recently developed a partnership with Clairmont Avocats specialized in Intellectual property law to reinforce “Information Technology” Department.
